Incorporated in 1997 as Sterling Agro Products Processing Pvt. Ltd. [SAPPPL], RUDHRA Agro quickly established itself as a bulk exporter of processed vegetables [mainly gherkins] produced through contract farming spanning a network of over 10000 farmers and processed in its own processing unit in Bengaluru.

Over the years, RUDHRA Agro has emerged as one of the largest private label manufacturers for major supermarket chains and food service providers in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America.

The acquisition of Planet Pickles Pvt. Ltd. in 2007 extended its product line beyond gherkins and as on date, the company exports baby corn, jalapeno pepper, chilly, pickled vegetables, seeds & nuts and an array of staple foods to the aforesaid markets in bulk as well as in consumer packs. Since its acquisition, Planet Pickle has the distinction of becoming the largest private labeler in its chosen target markets. RUDHRA Agro has also recently forayed into the Ready-To-Cook [RTC] product segment.

RUDHRA Agro’s vision is to become the preferred choice of global and domestic clientele in processed and packaged agri exports.  The company also intends to create a socially responsible organization that safeguards the interests of the community and the suppliers while maximizing value for its stakeholders. This is evident from the fact that RUDHRA’s agriculture team works closely with farmers and producers educating them on best practices and providing them necessary guidance pertinent to seeds, fertilizers and pesticides to ensure quality output.
